The Cast.

The Kandalans.

  • The King: His name is not revealed. Refer to him as Your Majesty, or The King. He rules the city of Kandala. He makes the laws and controls everything but the military and bank. The King is known as a greedy man, bent on getting the best deal for Kandala, or at least the deal that will cost them the least in this war. His current stance is neutral, having not shown favor to either side.
  • The Bank Master: Perhaps the most powerful man in Kandala. Master Birks, or Bank Master are the proper forms of addressing. He is the head of the Bank of Kandala, perhaps the biggest and richest bank in the province. Birks is a long term investor, and very good at what he does. His counsel to the king lead to the opening of negotiations for a alliance. He is known to currently favor the Rozzarians, believing having them take port would be in more income to the city.
  • Lord Kittemer: The representing lord of the Military in the city. General Kittemer or Lord Kittemer are proper forms of address. Kittemer favors Embersrtand. He knows the tough situation Rozzaria is in. He suspects that if Archadies did attack that the Rozzarians would abandon the city without hesitation.

The Rozzarians.

  • Ambassador Antonio Vitali. Antonia is a Rozzarian through and through. He can spin words with silk and honey and sell fire to a salamander. He is the head of the Rozzarian delegation. Rumor has it this man never raises his voice, and always appears to have the upper hand.
  • Representative Slate. If he has a last, or maybe a first name, nobody knows. Very little is known about this man, but rumor can be dug up he has a fancy for rare and exotic poisons.
  • Representative Adalina Satori. A vixen, enough said. For the more curious, she has the looks, the charm, and the allure, to win over all but the strongest willed men. Some of her conquest, have been known to never wake up after a night with her.

Emberstandians:

  • Kupor: The middle of Seven Siblings, an expert swordsman who refuses to draw his sword, and a moogle with a moral code he refuses to break. A devoted protector of life, he favors peace. Kupor has little practice in negotiation. His primary role has been sent along as guard escort and advisor. Yet, why send one who never draws his sword along as a guard? More to this assignment then meets the eye.
  • Archimedes Ashford. Burmecian cultural representative and all around sweet-talker. These years he's taken to the ways of the working class, from their ethic to their brash nature and bawdy tongue. But no amount of oil stain can wash away his upbringing. Bureaucracy is in his blood, and even the roughest of his kin are schooled in formality and grace. The question is, which will the Kandalan mission invoke: words as steadfast as steel, or diplomacy by gunbarrel?
  • Celeste St. Wallenrod: A mouse-kin spear warrior straight out of the desert, and crewman of the Doodlebug. Her skill and ferocity in battle are sometimes matched only by her love of vice and lack of eloquence. She remains a committed defender of Emberstrand, eager to take the fight to the Archadians, with herself on the front lines, carrying the banner. Many have to question why such a brash lady is coming to Kandala?
  • Azar: This red-head is a forward and honest Archadean, making her living by the sword. Emberstrand is her new home, and she will do what she can to keep the city safe, open and free. A dangerous play by the city to send a Archadean along, will her heritage prove a blessing or a curse?
  • Dietrich: A sword-for-hire from Port Balfonheim, Dietrich was called to Emberstrand by the looming threat to the merchant city's independence. Prizing freedom above all else, the Grey Knight will do all he can to ensure Emberstrand remains a free city, however much he privately loathes Kandhala's open practice of slavery. A compromise of ethics for this knight, will he come out of this whole?
  • Alistair: An Archadian expat who has hinted at having left his country of origin due to certain professional differences with his then employers, Alistair soon ended up settling down in Emberstrand and putting himself forth as a Consulting Detective for hire. Quickly finding employment with such institutions as the City Guard, he quickly put to rest- mostly- certain suspicions arising from his background and the timing of his arrival, and established himself as a competent and smart investigator with an eye for detail and a sharp mind brimming with eclectic knowledge. This newfound reputation in turn leading to certain requests being made that the Detective accompany the diplomatic mission to Khandala, to help ferret out and counter any likely subterfuge by opposing parties.
