Ultima, Lady of Destruction, Mistress of Chaos and Queen of the Super-Nova. A fair platinum haired angelic figure whose raiment was a mixture of starlight, technology and cloth, a beautiful maiden whose duty to the universe was at once terrifying and simple. Her charge was to shepherd and organise the dance of stars in the void of space. When a star died it was her charge to guide the energy of the vast explosion to its next purpose. Living in the heart of a star, watching the burning fires of the universe seem to be wasted and the vast tracks of empty void she felt sorrow. Shining in the void where planets of life, of energy and achievement whilst for the most part it was just voidal darkness, the haunting song of stellar winds and deep loneliness. In seeking council with Andromeda whose view of all space and time encompasses more then the realms where mortal beings live Ultima became convinced that the heavens way was wrong, that those spaces of darkness between those points of light where what truly needed to be attended and the small balls of rock and gas and life abandoned for the betterment of the universe.

Slowly over passing eons Ultima built her power, siphoning off the violent flood of power each time a star expired, channeling it to herself, building the self contained realm known as the Supernova. Three time Andromeda came to Ultima and asked her what violence disrupted the dance of the stars. Three times Ultima lied, saying she was still investigating it, trying to find out what was happening. Seeing the future as it was and is and could be Andromeda left the silent contemplation of the universe and secreted herself amongst the vaulted stars above the 12 pillars, Bahamut's throne.

Feeling her power was now truly as it should be Ultima struck, what was to be her greatest triumph, beseeching audience with the dragon she attacked the pillars with all the power she had gathered. The bright green devastation of Ultima unleashed within the core of the 12 pillars! Bahamut was to fall and she was to assume his place, but Andromeda's hand was played, the starred vault that domes the realm of the Dragon Mount did glow and with chance, time and all that could be to be woven Andromeda deflected that devastating attack, then joining her might with Bahamut they cast Ultima down to Terra. This alone could not stop her, proud and powerful still she gathered her armies, she corrupted spirits with her lies and her words for having planted her in the mortal realm the Great Spirits hands where tied by rules she could now break with abandon.

Her armies devastated the world and the heavens, ancient laws governing the working and seperation of spirit and mortal broke down and death raged for years until at last she was bound, her generals and adherants cast down. Bound in the Nethicite prisons of the gods devising but for Ultima a more powerful shackle was needed. Andromeda wove the powers of her supernova about her, sealing her in the centre, currents and oceans of deadly energy abound forever exploding, eternally rebounding with Ultima trapped on an island at the centre. From the outside it appears as a bright star in the sky but inside it is a place where Ultima's destructive powers cannot aide her escape. Any power she brought to bear only aided the supernova in its eternally bound dance of beginning and end, renewal and destruction.
