A knife in the back is not the most honorable way to strike a foe, but sometimes beggars cannnot be choosers, and more often times some just find the convenience of it better than a straight up fight. Matters of honor aside, a disabling strike from behind often times can save a good thief from a fight more than any fighting skill they can muster.

System: This is a conditional Melee Attack, meaning that you can only perform this when you are behind your target. Performed a standard melee strike and make a check of Dexterity+[]+backstab. If their defense is higher than either the initial attack they avoid entirely. If it is lower than the initial attack, but higher than the second check then they take damage, but do are not affected by the ability's status inflict. If they do not defend from either then they gain [Doom] status and will lapse into unconsciousness after 10 rounds have passed.
