What you play has an effect on others.  Positive or negative, those notes are heard by others, even if it's something as simple as a mouse or a rabite.  Sound is a funny thing, because it can do things to the mind if one isn't careful.  If you can find the right note, you can even stun a monster in it's tracks for a short time, or go so far as to make it's ears bleed a little.  More than one experienced Bard has earned their drinking money by shattering a wineglass with a single note.

System: When this Reactive is in place, and the user is successfully hit by an attack, roll Dexterity+Performing+Reactive/Dissonance.  If Roll exceeds the attack roll, then after damage has been resolved, the attacker is placed under [Stop] Status for one full combat round, and loses this status on the follow round, or if the status is negated by another effect.  If Attacker is under [Mute] Status, they also take Rank in Air Damage from this Reactive.
