Every Hunter has them as their stock in trade.  From little leather ropes they can attach to whip-traps, to something as cruel as fish-hooked lines they can cast from their hand, every Hunter has a favored snare they use while at work.  They're not the most elegant things in the world, nor are they particularly good against the larger game and monsters out there... but for the bread and butter of the hunter's trade, such things are considered invaluable.


System: Spend 2 MP - Melee Snare attack causes a Rank/12 round 'Immobilize' and 'Disable' Status on single target -OR- Spend 3 MP to leave a 'Snare' on the ground to inflict a Rank/8 round 'Immobilize' Status on single target.  Snares left on ground can be spotted with an Insight+Alertness check with the target being the Snare's success roll.
