| A Red Mage is in the middle of the battle, not off to the rear like Black Mages often remain, and because of this, they often can be victims to the same destructive magics they can wield. However, one of the many secrets that the Red know is how to channel a little bit of power into their weapons and their own bodies. This natural channel can be occasionally used to capture and ground out that spell before it can hurt the Red Mage, even allowing them to absorb some of the energy that remains behind. |
| System: When attacked by a damaging spell, a successful weapon parry roll causes spell to be negated, and the MP cost of the spell to be absorbed. |
