Spell Burst

Black Magic is defined not only by what it does on the battlefield, but how it does it. Instead of focusing on one foe, or a small group, one can instead with some preparation and extra force splinter their spell into multiple strikes, or spread the damage of their magical attacks to more foes. Such versatility is considered critical among the most professional of mages.

System: At the cost of an standard action and an additional 50% mp cost to the next spell cast you can cause a standard single target spell (Fire, Firaga) to hit multiple targets, +1 target per 6 points (+4 max), for 50% of the damage of the original spell. Additionally if used with a multi-targetting spell (Fira, Firaja) it extends the area of effect by 50%.
