Beyond the ticket hall is the platform, the station has but a single long terracotta tiled platform, the tracks are gleaming silver resting on the darkness of thin air. It is here that the Doomtrain arrives and disgorges its passengers to begin their final journey to the Deadwood and judgement. There are benches on the platform and a clock that records the passage of time, its steady tick-tock the only sound to break the silence of this realm outside of the mournful whistle of the Doomtrain as it approaches.

The Doomtrain

The great psychopomp of Hades is the being known as the Doomtrain, in the form of a hellishly sleek silver locomotive it roams the world each night collecting the newly departed and transporting them to the Abyss. It does not collect all the dead of the world, the Valkyries of Odin collect some and others find their own way to the Abyss but it is the Doomtrain that traverses the world and transports the dead. Ancient legend speaks of ways to summon the Doomtrain to your location so that you might use it as transportation to the Abyss but this method is no longer recorded, at least not in any public record.

There is however only a 20% chance that the Doomtrain itself will actually be here at the station. Only a prior arrangement with Hades can gurantee the great spirit is in attendance otherwise it is pure chance.

+dice 1d100 to decide if the train is here.

Ghost

The dead who linger in the station waiting room are the recently deceased, those who have just stepped off the Doom Train into the silent realm of the Abyss. These Ghosts differe sligthly from the Ghosts found elsewhere in the Abyss, they will only agree to perform one deed for a Summoner if they agree to take a final message to a loved one or family member left behind on Gaia. A Final Service for a Final Wish.
